Global Wireless Solutions Signs Multi-Year Benchmarking Agreement with Nextel

RESTON, Virginia, July 20, 2000 - Global Wireless Solutions, Inc. (“GWS”), a leader in the wireless consulting industry has entered into a multi-year contract with Nextel Communications to provide Benchmarking services in Nextel’s top US markets. The services will concentrate on evaluating the comparative performance of the various Nextel regional markets and will also compare Nextel’s overall network quality relative to their competition. Through GWS’s comprehensive data collection, analysis, data warehousing and diagnostics process, Nextel will have the ability to deliver enhanced value added solutions to it markets.

GWS has selected Ericsson’s TEMSTM Benchmarker, a network benchmarking and quality analysis system, for employing this service. This system is an engineering tool used to monitor and record the network performance of multiple wireless operations simultaneously. The TEMS Benchmarker also provides a measure of the forward and reverse link audio quality with its Auryst TM Module.
